Hi there
I recently started a roach colony, i currently have round about 200 large nymphs and 10 mature females and 2 mature males.
I need to know if you guys feed the roaches veggies and fruits every day or do you take it out and only give it 2 or 3 times per week.

I keep a dry food source in there at all times but just not sure bout the rest...

There is no need to have fruits and veg in there everyday. Once or twice a week is good and they love oranges. Remember to remove old fruit and veg. They are also fans of oats, dry cat food (better than dog food) and fish flakes.

U need to provide them with water (pebbles inside to prevent drowning). This also help with the humidity.

Then you need to keep your roach enclosure warm and humid for breeding purposes.

Hope it helps

Very smart use of the lip.

How I look after my roaches.

I feed my roaches every 3rd to 4th day or in-between feeding's when I have something for them.
And feed mostly veggies with fruit on an occasion also make rice for them.
I only feed them dry cat food every 2nd week.

I only give them 2 serving spoons full of what every I'm feeding them, this why I know they eat everything and there is nothing left over the next day.

I keep my Blaptica dubia different to most people.
I keep mine on palm peat with bark, egg crates and leaves. I also keep Isopods with them.
I wet the palm peat now and then to keep it a bit moist.
And use the leaves as a source of water. I soak the leaves in water and just through it into the container as is.

List of what I feed.
Oranges
Apples
Pears
Pumpkin
Hubbard
butternut
Rice
grapes
Mangos
Hard boiled eggs
Mielies
Avos
Beans
Baby marrow
Gems
lettuce
Cabbage
Carrots
Leaves
Dry cat food
Bananas
Tinned dog food.

I have a mix of lobsters and pallids.

I always have dry food in mine- Mix of small bag of Whiskas, think it's 1.5 or 2 kg,1 kg dry outs and 1 kg bran, all crushed together with a blender till it's very fine.

Then oranges, once a week.
