Scarab mentioned he had a nice bottle of wine to mollify his morbid introspection into the human race. ;) I assume it was a red wine.

So lets hear which reds you guys are fond of.

Arrabella

When it comes to value for money, nothing beats it. Hands down the best red in the cheap-as-chips category.

R40

Beyerskloof Cape Synergy

R80

Rupert & Rothschild Cup Classique

R100

The Chocolate Block

Amazing stuff

R180

Rupert & Rothschild Baron Edmond

The best red I've ever tasted. Far better than Meerlust Rubicon. (that was an opinion)

R320

I'm from the Cape Winelands or use to be.

I'd recommend a Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve

Well, I'll tell you.

Go without red wine for 7 months then you'll even appreciate Tassenberg at R35 a bottle. It is as good as any other at the moment!

Neethlingshof - Shiraz ;)

Yes, Red wine it was... and Red wine it will always be, BUT, the hue would not override the ability to illuminate the nether regions of the mind, nor would the vintage abrogate the company in which it is used.

Nederburg Edelrood has always been a firm favorite, depending on the circumference of my wallet.

Most people are like clouds. The sun comes out when they f*ck off...

I had to look up the word abrogate. I thought I was the resident wordsmith, but alas, I have been schooled. LOL! When the student is ready, the master shall appear.

Edelrood is really good, and I haven't had it in a while. The last time I had some was Easter with a nice fat eisbein while at Matumi game lodge. Good times.

What natural disaster kept you from the bottle for 7 months?!
