How do most of you keep track of your T's in regards to their arrival into your care and their growth rate or even breeding them? I know for a lot it might not be done as their collection is just too big, but is there a certain few that you actually do keep a record on as they are your most loved T's?

I went for the simple notebook and pen solution. New arrivals get a number and new page in the book and i write down the molts and molted sizes. Book and pen is always at the T table and doesnt need power or bateries. My numbering is the receive date and a sequancial number in case i received more than one of the same specie, i.e. 2 B. Albo's would be 20130115_1 and 20130115_2, i also record the initial size. The numbers are writen on the outside of the cages.

That is interesting Neil, I never thought of measuring the actual molts.

There is also software you can use. Arachnorecords works very nice.

Keeping track of 14 and Excel works for me.

covers these from date of purchase
foodtypes,
sizes,
molts,
container,/rehousing
general temperature

I find it easy to extract info with filtersbut will definitely be to much work for a large collection

I've been using "The Tarantula Keepers Record" but this doesn't actually save a history of activities so you'll have to print reports to go back on if you want history. Otherwise I recent;y started using Arachnorecords and it works quite well.
