I have crickets and will be getting some roaches so I was just wondering if I could put them together to save some space. Dont want containers all over the place so thats why I ask :)

Get one big black plastic container[52 liter or bigger] with lid.
Throw some damp coconut peat on the bottom [about max 4 cm deep]and stack a heap of egg trays upright in one side.Put two platic lunchboxes with compressed damp peat in each corner.
Add a shallow water container with soaked cottonwool in.
Sprinkle fishflakes on top and on the front of the first egg trays.
Put some thin slices of sweet potatoe or carrot apple around.[not too much]
Throw in some big crickets, forest roaches etc dont forget the ventilation holes in the roof[lots of very small ones].
Keep about 28 degrees check twice a week.
Keep the lunchbox peat damp for the crickets to lay in,keep enough flakes etc for them not to eat the smaller ones.
In no time you have a natural cycle and food available in every size.
Have always kept both species together.
