That fly reminded me of something i did not know. Sitting outside having a braai i saw a bee flying in the garden, with closer inspection i noticed that this bee is not flying like a bee, it hovered in a different way! With some research i found that this in fact was a fly that mimics the looks of a bee(and man was it similar, my mind honestly treated the insect like a bee), and one way to tell the difference is that bees have four wings, but flies have two wings
I think someone posted a larvae(maggot) of one of these flies, they lay their eggs in open water pipes or something.
But about the pictures, lovely quality, almost shocking to think how much detail is actually visible! What macro lens are you using? as well as what camera?
