Woah.So some of them will be able to produce offspring without a Male? Are you going to sell any babies if you manage to get any? I would love to get a hold of some of those.

Replied by Doug on topic Re: My scorpion collection
that is SO UNFAIR !!!!!!!! :(

how the hell did you manage to get those? Haven't seen those for atleast 15 years!

Ask whoever supplied you if they can't get Androctonus species and Death Stalkers! ;)

I am in the market if you want to sell !

@F1refly - That is the theory. I have no experience with parthenogenetic scorpions, so we will have to wait and see what happens

@Doug - Sorry bout last night, sorta passed out on the couch in front of the tv lol. It helps to have connections ;) I will keep your request in mind bud :)

@Nita - Thanks! All good things comes with patience :) I will surely do my best to try and breed all scorpions I add to my collection. If I'm lucky enough to have surplus stock, it would be my joy to be able to offer the offspring to other enthusiasts :)

@Frank - All exotic, and local Buthidae scorpions (eg. Parabuthus, Uroplectes) are legal to collect and keep (this might be province specific though). Species like Hadogenes Opistacanthus, Cheloctonus and Opistophtalmus are illegal to keep or collect without permits as they are protected. I do however feel that there should be some ethics involved... If its NOT your goal to try and breed these animals, and you just want a pet scorpion, I'd rather urge you to spend the cash on captive bred animals. They do much better in captivity anyways, and you are less likely to have problems. Our ultimate goal as hobbyists should be to try and ease wild collecting, or eradicate it completely in the long run. Hope that helps?
