Not sure where you got that tall story from but its far from the truth

I'm not sure either, but it is my right to post what I believe, heard or read, whether 100% accurate or to your liking. Your "RUBBISH" exclamation proves more of you as a person than of your superior knowledge about anything, let alone Bonzai. I don't mind being surrounded by people on high horses, just find it sad that some have to be rude from up there as well.

So bring me into the light please...

It would realy be better to go for the plastic versions due to lighting space and so on.
And so by the way the little plant in the picture realy is a sad example of "bonzai" sold at nurseries all over the world these days.
I personaly stopped doing bonzai due to snakes and T's and scorps entering my life, I want to spend MAX time on my 1 hobby.
If anybody is interested in bonzai however I sugest checking out jo-da bonzai @ www.jodabonsai.co.za they got some Good bonzai.

Bottom line, I'm taking the maculata out of there ASAP!! i found him 1 digit short this morning. i think he got stuck. NOT HAPPY!

It is a myth (or misconception) that they must be starved to become Bonzai. They need a LOT of nutrients.
It is a myth (or misconception) that they become Bozai because of the small container. Their roots are vital, but must be trimmed back often.
It is a myth (or misconception) that they must be indoors. They are Bonzai replicas of their Big Brothers and Sistas.

They are TRAINED into the marvelous shapes we see today.

OH, I forgot - they do NOT belong in a Tarantula enclosure.
