Im curious to know how you distinguish between a sling, juvie, sub adult, adult and mature? Size or age? Obviously a mature is distinguished by the presence or lack tibiul spurs etc but i am more interested in the rest as I am making up a tarantula log which asks for the stage of the tarantula and the options are sling/juvie/sub adult/adult.

@ sk27: Have look at the tarantula lab post, there is one already. You can just use that one. Its called "The Tarantula Keeper's Record"

@usumbara, thats the one im trying to use. Caught onto it from the thread but it asks the stage and then you must select one. My avic avic is now 3-3.5cm DLS so does that still mean its a sling or is it now a juvie?

I would say this is me,
0.5 to 4cm sling
4 to 7 juvie
7 to 10 sub adult
10 and up adult and once it matured and is ready to be mated it is Mature adult.

I think it comes down to how a person sees hes spiders.
That is more or less how I would work it out a call it!

But you get small T's and big T's so with all respect Cascade I don't see how that will work you'll need something like do research and see how big an adult is on average. Now (this is just theory not facts someone with more knowledge should work this out) what you do is divide that size by 4 and and then you have sling, juvie, sub adult and adult. What do you guy's/girls think?
