How difficult is it to obtain permits to keep indigenous baboon spiders in Gauteng? And where would on apply?

It's not difficult, it's impossible.

This topic has been beaten to death. Give it up, stay away from local baboons, don't even dream about keeping them, it will cost you more heartache than good.

The members of forum catagorically distance themselves from any involvement with local babbon spiders, the collection and/or keeping thereof. This includes P murinus (OBT/Usambara Starburst Baboon)

Dave wrote in another thread I deleted.

Its impossible to obtain a permit. Very few people in SA have one. I wouldnt know where you could apply for one but i think you got a better chance of finding a metallica in the congo than getting a permit.

Thanks Scarab. I was recently offered a Greater Horned Baboon, but was unwilling to accept it without the necessary permits, etc.

Will take your advice and leave them well alone.
