Acanthoscurria transamazonica Piza, 1972 is now a junior synonym of Acanthoscurria geniculata
Acanthoscurria ferina Simon, 1892 and
Acanthoscurria brocklehursti F.O.P.-Cambridge, 1896 are now a junior synonym of Acanthoscurria theraphosoides
Acanthoscurria xinguensis Timotheo da Costa, 1960 is now a junior synonym of Acanthoscurria juruenicola

This means Acanthoscurria brocklehursti is no longer valid so you should change your labels. We do not know what the hobby species is so rather rename your labels to Acanthoscurria sp 'brock' something like that.

Cool, I didn't realise this was out yet as I only got the article emailed to me by Ray yesterday. I asked him about the A. brocklehursti in the hobby and this is his reply (PT = Pet Trade in case anyone was wondering) -

PT brocklehursti is the real geniculata, the real brocklhursti is theraphosoides. PT geniculata is a variety of geniculata with no stable features to separate them.

Bulb keels vary from none to 2 PAc and vary in size

PT brocklehursti should be called A. geniculata narrow band and PT geniculata A. geniculata wide band

Or some bollox like that
