What is the better option for placement of our T's terrarium ?
I understand that direct sunlight is a no-no, but what about surrounding movement, noise, vibration, people looking at it through the glass, and all airborn smells from cooking and house cleaning ?
Our's is in the kitchen at the moment on a shelf nice and secure from falling off but there is a bit of movement from us walking around.

Movement shouldn't be too much of a problem during the day but at night they like to come out so maybe move them to area you aren't as active at night.

I've kept mine in my living room on a built-in cabinet and everyone that came over would sit staring at them but at night it was dark(ish) and hardly anyone in the living room. I would however go in every hour or two with a flashlight to check on them and that didn't seem to effect them at all.

Sunlight is a definite NO because temperature change can be extreme.
Surrounding movement, noise, vibration and all airborn smells from cooking and house cleaning are also too generally be avoided. Be especially careful of smells that could be harmfull!
Noise is not a particularly big deal though.

I have kept spiders from the lounge to bedroom to the kitchen and had no issues.

The only thing, I'm sure you know, but you can not use doom or any air fresheners, the aerosol kind around your spiders.
Sure you not going to be mixing toxic chemicals in your kitchen, general cooking smells, movement and normally activity at home wont bug your spider at all.
Just give her a nice hide, if she does not like the activity she can go and hide away.

As splurge said, they will become more active at night.
But the larger your spiders grow the more out in the open they sit, also the tend to get use to the activity and just carry on with their normally routen of being a spider.

I have a communal of H.incei's (olive trinidad) in a tank in the lounge at the moment.
Don't see much of the spiders though, but you see their webbing expanding day to day but you see more of the roaches and the crickets running around in the enclosure.

Ours are all in our bedroom - on a shelf unit away from the bed. What I have noticed, in terms of smells, noise etc, is that my M balfouri either likes or hates the sound of my hairdryer. Every morning, like clockwork, I start drying my hair, he comes out of his burrow and sits there for a bit. He stays out for a while after I'm done, then goes back. I've tested it as well, switching the dryer on for a bit when I got home one day - same thing, he came out, sat around, went back into the burrow. He doesn't do the same when we simply move around near the enclosures. The air doesn't blow anywhere near him (my dresser and the shelving unit are around 2 metres apart), so I have no idea why this happens. :huh:
