I used to keep my slings on my desk at work until recently when the temps stared dropping.
I brought them home but still hadn't found the perfect spot for them.

Woke up yesterday, plotting n scheming, then remembered that this old room divider we inherited ages ago had intern light fittings.

:woohoo: Eureka! Shouts the DIY (Destroy It Yourself) voice in my head.
So after many hours of fiddling, more than a few choice phrases, lots n lots of coffee, countless distractions, mothers day lunch, more fiddling, more choice phrases, a few broken items here n there... I can finally stand back and admire my handy work.

I'm pretty chuffed with how its taking shape, still lots to do, worried about ventilation. Will be keeping an eye on temps during the week.

Very nice, and a very nice looking cabinet.

I would not worry about adding any ventilation, the gaps in the door and by the hinges and around the doors will be more than enough ventilation for air moving in. Any way, When you feed and check on your spiders you will open the door and allow for air flow.
So no need for any more DIY

I Love wood cabinets and display cabinets..

How big are the h.gigas you are going to put in that tank ?
Think they would need more substrate as the burrow

This panel is part of one of those really old 3 piece wall unit / room dividers. The solid wood type, not the easiest to move around

The H.Gigas are juvies, as far as I know, haven't seen them yet. Will be getting them from Dimitri soon.
You are right, I didn't think of that, too busy trying to make the hide stay up.... mmmm... whistle2

Old school :thumbsup: , when wood was still wood and made to last, my aunt them had a big divider, took 3 men to move and it had to be taken apart to get it out the house.

Well you can take a picture like it is now with the lights on and then in the day light.
