Pretty much very new to this, just bought my first sling yesterday, its a choco golden knee T.

So its still in the little container i got with it, he/she is still very small, keeping one side of the container moist for water, have fed it a small pinhead criecket, i would like to ask with our humidity and weather should i keep the T. warm at night or not?

Welcome to the most addictive hobby in the world (much worse than any drug).

That would depend on the temperature of the room. If it's warm (room temperature) then I don't think it is. If it gets cool (below 20C) I would probably get a heat pad for your T. Misting the container would be necessary as they drink from droplets on the side as far as I know. So not excessive moistness but twice a week should do the job. The experts on here will probably add to this if I've missed anything.

Not that I am an expert, but here are my 2 cents worth
Agree fully with Francois.
I think Uncle Stan once said that if you can survive without putting on layers of clothes, so can they.
They are surprisingly hardy creatures,
I live in Raslouw, Centurion, where it regularly gets below 5 degrees in winter.
I only use my heat pads when it starts approaching those temps. I have removed them now for about a week or so.

If you do use a heat pad, just remember to put it on the side of the enclosure and not below it, so the T can regulate the amount of heat it needs by moving around.
