:laugh: Hilarious. I know. Of all the tarantulas in the world, I had to get tagged by the sweetheart species :pinch:

Tagged on Friday evening by Slasher's MF Avicularia versicolor, whilst attempting to handle her. Was trying to convince Slasher that handling tarantulas is really not as bad as it sounds - obviously my strategy backfired and my cowboy antics made me look like a complete idiot

I actually SAW her fangs coming down to tag me - just like one of those slow-mo movie punches. Wasn't a dry bite - could see some liquid outside the bite area when she retracted. Bite area became red and slightly swollen up - but no other side effects on Friday.

On Saturday, the area turned red & a very faint blue and the finger was sore everytime I used it over the weekend (i.e. taking pictures at the airshow on Saturday, fly-fishing on Sunday...). No other side effects.




Sunday, Monday, Today - No other side effects. Can't even see the bite marks anymore. But I can still feel the stiffness in the finger.

IT WAS WORTH IT THOUGH - She is a stunner. But next time, I'll admire her from outside the cage
