So this turned out to be a very interesting day.
I heard lots of people (including tim) say before that slings under 3cm cant and don’t bite and if they do ,
their teeth wont pierce thru the skin.
This is in fact a LIE! Today I was packing B. Smithi (about 2cm-2.5cm at most legspan), I was looking in the container and it was not there,
then I felt an ant pinch me ,just as I want to take it off, I called tim over... guess what?
It was the smithi sling that bit me! His tiny fangs were in my arm for at least 3seconds, now its hard to believe but its true!
It felt like an ant pinch
Looked like a mosquito bite
Burned like a bee sting for 5min
Then itched for about 20min
You can still see the red dot now, but nothing else...
Unbelievable? Believe it... finely got to prove tim wrong.
And yes, the fangs did go through my skin ,I believe if it didn't then it wouldn't have burned or itched
Also I kept the brave little sling ,he/she is just to cute not to keep.
forgot to mention it was on my wrist on the inside and also i have very soft and very very sensitive skin.
