I was bitten by my P.ornata on Easter Sunday here’s what happened
I had received a +- 10cm P.ornata the day before on the Sunday and was checking out my tanks on the Sunday morning. When I noticed some cricket carcasses(from the previous night’s feeding) in my P.Ornata’s tank so I decided to pick them out quickly(now what I did next is rather stupid  : ,but hey this is how we learn). So I decided to just put my hand in the cage and pick them out(yes very bad idea) As soon as I put my hand in the tank the T tagged me right on my middle finger and held on for a few seconds. The first thing I did once it let go and I closed the tank was to clean the wound it was a fairly clean puncture. The initial pain was not too bad . So I figured it didn’t get me too badly. Then the real pain and swelling started and lasted a few hours .After the swelling went down the cramps started and they lasted until yesterday.
This is one spider you don’t want to mess with . I recently put a sterilised rat’s skull in its cage and I noticed that it moves it around the tank now and then .
Would be so much easier if we could JUST learn from other people's mistakes, but unfortunately (for you), you had to make this mistake so that we can learn from it!
