Sad day today for Metalheads around the globe as Jeff Hanneman, the founding member of the legendary metal band Slayer passed away after suffering from complications led on by a spider bite.
From the articles i've read, it seems that Jeff was bitten in 2011 by a spider (i haven't discovered which spider).
I assume that severe necrosis set it and Jeff underwent a series of skin graphs, at one stage there was talk of his arm being amputated.
Sadly, Jeff passed away last night after suffering liver failure.
I would like to know if anyone has any idea what spider could have caused this?
as you'll see from pictures, he was no sissy and far from a "little" person in terms of his physique.
