Seeing that we have a whole forum of rookies, maybe one of your not so new newbies can help me. Can a T also deliver a "dry" bite, like a snake does?

Yes wickets, T's can deliver dry bites...

Some people would go so far as to say that most T bites are dry bites. I do not know if there is truth behind this or not.

But it is very possible for a T to deliver a "dry" or "wet" bite, they have complete control of their venom sacs.

According to the Tarantula keepers guide, most bites from the defensive species are dry.
Will try and find the page as reference, but this is what I remember reading.

I was very surprised, just goes to show that not everything is as cut and dry as we believe and that most preconceptions from a young age are unfounded.

EDIT:
Found it, page 193 in the bottom purple block.
