A

Close encounters with my B.albopilosum and B.vagans.

Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

E! for each of both Marguerite (especially Marguerite!) and me.

But remember that way back in the dawn of tarantula keeping we were trying to learn everything that we could about each kind that we could lay our hands on. And, we DID lay our hands on every one of them! Of the ones with a "medically significant" bite, Marguerite was only bitten by an OBT (aka, Pterinochilus murinus, aka Usumbura baboon), although we both experimented with several Poecilotheria (Indian ornamental types), Heteroscodra maculata (Togo starbursts), and a bunch of others.

My most remarkable bite was from a Aphonopelma moderatum (Rio Grande Gold tarantula). It bit my little finger and really chewed. For several hours after that my finger tingled but felt numb to the touch.

Enjoy your LITTLE, 8-legged, screaming banshees from He**!
