How do you guys count the slings?

I heard a guy in Usbeckistan counts the legs then divide by eight. He told me it's more accurate because if there is a fraction in his answer, he knows he has counted wrong and counts again...

Photoshop has a 'count' tool. With every click it places a number. Obviously starting at 1 
you probably could make it count in increments of 8 and do it the Uzbeki way tho
