Rainspider egg sac :( was created by Ross
Rain spider made an egg sac 56 days ago... she hadnt opened it yet and I know that 56 days is way tooo long.. so I opened the sac and the eggs were all hard and stuck together almost like peanut brittle? what could have caused this?

My Signature??? lol

My female usually opens the sack, but the humidity might have been to high and that caused them to rot. Did you mist her?

Yeah, 56 days is way too long.
I would expect the babies to hatch after 21 to 30 days.
It could be anything from wrong temperatures, humidity or even that the eggs were not fertilized.

You mos know more about rainspiders than most of us but my guess is that it would be her second eggsac of the season and these don't always have the same success as the first. My last eggsack hatched about 1 week ago but obviously the female was not that good looking when she made it.
