Guys who breed rare spiecies should I do all the efort of building a mechanical mom or are there better ways to breed successfully and cheaper. Any if you could help me by showing me how you build it, something that has worked for you because I dont know what method to use and I dont want to lose a R6000 tarantula and trust me you feel pretty shit if you do.

Mechanical mums make for a nice building project but are completely unnecessary. This will do the job nicely - www.tarantulas.co.za/forum/tarantula-gen...ator-cheap-and-easy- or even the coffee filter method although I have never tried that method myself.

Of course you could always try leaving the sac with the mother. I've heard tarantulas in the wild do this sometimes.

Do you have any papers to prove this???

One thing I would change with yours is put water into the tupperware bowl where the material is placed over and then only have that in the critter keeper and the the first instars cant fall in any water and tri to make that eges less sharp that will also protect te eggs.

There is only water in the Tupperware bowl. On the outside is moist paper.
Why would the eggs be in danger from sharp edges?
