I moved this thread to "Breeding Reports" because I presume this is what the tread is about? Unless this female is eating the male, there is no "Feeding Reports" category... yet.

i want to leave the sac's with the mommies full term??? do you suggest that?

There is not cut and dried answer. As I have stated to many times to recall, the keeper/breeder must act according to the spider and what is happening at any given time.

With some species, it is advisable to leave the sac with the mother, yet in others, it might not be. If you want to see nature run its course, yes, leave it with the mother but be prepared for whatever the consequences. The reason people remove egg cases from females is to increase the chances of a successful hatch and in doing so, eliminate a few risks. It can be just as risky to tamper with the sac by removing it, but in most cases, disaster can be prevented. Nobody removes egg cases in the wild, all go full term. That is pretty obvious, but nobody has accurate statistics on survival rate either. You are a breeder, so IMO, you should want to ensure the highest possible survival rate. As a breeder, you have to make that call, else document the outcome of your experiment, whatever that will be.

hahaha B) thanks guys!

i have a question though... she dropped at a relatively low temp 18-22 is this normal?

what are your views on this?

i spoke to a friend there in the jungles and she swears high and low that it doesn't drop below 25 ever.
so was there a trigger or do avics just drop on full term?

Humidity change is the trigger for avics to drop.
They do lay all year round as long as your temps are good.
Maybe try increase her temperature a bit & slowly to help develope the eggs a bit quicker.
I would suggest waiting till at least day 30 before opening just to be safe.
Good luck !!
