Congratulations Scarab @ least we know you wont need a mechanical mom 
@Halfniak. I doubt the male dies just after mating. However females have been known to slowly deprive, blackmail, cripple, bankrupt and sometimes go mental after birthing new offspring.
It has also been recorded that some Homo sapiens Males who try to mate again with other females have been found dead in some cases.
Some females have also been heard screaming giving birth and in the process broke some males hands before.
Luckily no document exist so far of a Homo sapiens female eating her young
