Great news

My Brachypelma albopilosum has made an eggsack on Saterday. We mated her around 3-4 months ago.
It has been 3 months and nothing.

Got some tip from a friend (Jason) on the forum and did flood and heat and Whooop Whoop my first egg sack.

I know it is still early days but lets hope all goes well.

Thanks to all you guys on the forum for all the info.

Just an Update

I pulled the Egg sack and opened it up Tonight.
A freaken lot of eggs with legs.

Very Happy

Got them in a Exo Terra Incubator so lets hope all is well

Stuff the empty egg case with cotton wool, sew it up and give it back to the female. She will/should accept it and will calm down instantly. The process of realizing something is "wrong" should take about three weeks to a month, by which time she will discard it and you can remove. This has no other purpose than eliminate her frantic searching and obvious dismay. She will not breed again this year anyway (unless you want another 700 slings), so at least allow her the satisfaction of caring for it until nature dissolves her maternal instincts.

If you threw it away already, place the enclosure where you can't see her to soothe your feelings of guilt...
