So is it safe to say with pokies it would be a better idea to leave the egg sack with the mother for as long as possible? or at least till the time where they would turn into 1st instars.

We also left the mommy fasciata with sac and the babies are all healthy so I would assume leaving the sac with mommy should be ok. I am sure they eat the sacs when they know it's not healthy.

As Leonard said, REALLY good news! Congrats buddy! I hope you keep us updated as this progresses. Like we spoke the other day, I am also thinking about leaving any future sacs with the mothers. I would love to see more pics when these babies are a bit bigger, especially interacting with the female :)

I think I will agree on that. My regalis female ate her egg sac, much to my dispair, but after a long and stressful move, and several power outages (thanks again to the Prince of Darkness aka Eskom), I cannot help but feel she did what she did because the sac had maybe gone bad as a result of the external circumstances.

Anyway, congrats again to Cerat! think I told you last night, I seem to be just as excited about any of your breedings as you are ;)
