Lasiadora parahybana was created by ayal
Female: T-rad and Panama
Male: T-rad and Panama
Mated:?
Dropped: 27/08/2012
Pulled: 18/09/2012
Temperature: 15-20 degrees Celsius (Sometimes dropped to about 12)
Humidity: cage was kept dry the whole way through, no flooding
Amount: A S**t Load, between 1000-2000
Stage: eggs
Comments: This one was a bit strange, when we mated her we didn't actually see an insertion... Time went on, she was very aggressive to the male after the first "mating." I hardly fed her but she gained a lot of weight, then she started to spin a web, which I though was going to be a molt mat. Yet it got thicker and thicker and eventually she dropped an egg sack. Now I thought this was a phantom egg sack, so no increase in temperature or anything was done, we just let the female be. We pulled it on the same day as the pederseni to see what was inside. There were a whole bunch of eggs that looked infertile, but just in case I kept them close to the heater. Then today I was going to through the eggs away when my little brother noticed a few eggs with legs. This obviously caught us by a huge surprise!

They are now starting to turn into eggs with legs on the 24/09/2012 almost a month after the female laid the eggs, this is obviously due to the low temperatures she was kept at.

So something interesting: I put the eggs in the incubator near a panel heater, it gets up to about 31 degrees in the incubator. the eggs closest to the heater have started to die off and the eggs furthest away have started developing into EWLs. I moved the incubator to a cooler part of the room that is between 20-25. The eggs are taking a really long time to change into EWLs.

I'm not sure if this species survives better at a cooler temp or did the eggs start dying off because they were first at a cool temperature and then suddenly exposed to a higher temperature? not sure...

1st instars 07/10/2012
Not many made it to eggs with legs, I must have messed it up by putting them near the heat. They seem to be doing better away from it. 1st instars look healthy though.
