From what size would you start giving them a source of water(bottle cap)?

I started at about 4 - 5 cm legspan, but gave it up again on most as they tend to dig the bottle cap under within a day.

Currently only my big terrestrials have a water dish. I think once my P. cambridgei and the pokies are really big, I might add one, or maybe not. I've seen the P. cambridgei take a little bath on a little water pool that got caught in its webbing, so he might actually enjoy a water dish.

Personally I hardly ever leave any sling of mine without gel from Huntsman in it's terrarium ;)

You can take an Aphonopelma to crickets but you can't make it eat!

Taki, not to question your ways here, I just have a question.

When I first signed on to the forums I was using it for my MM G. rosea and I was told that it isn't recommended due to several reasons. Almost everyone I spoke to recommended a fresh water supply so it has become second nature to me now. Even the Schultz's had their two cents worth on that thread.

Is this really a better way to keep my T's hydrated or is it really just a matter of personal preference?

Well I know that it's an often debated thing but I have been keeping my T's with gel for 5 years now and have gone through literally hundreds of slings with gel so I guess you could say it's a personal thing :)
