I recently got a C. Hati Hati sling that has a problem eating. It is stall around 4th instar but since I got it, it hunts the pray but cant kill or eat it. It sits with the food in its mouth for a day+ without consuming anything.

I think its fangs might be broken from catching food to early from previous molt. My question is, can a sling around 4th/5th instar go trough a molt cycle without eating anything?

What advice do you guys/girls have for this case?

Yes it can, if it is healthy it will molt fine.

You can try mushing the cricket up or cutting it apart so the spider can then try and eat it.

It must just have a water source to keep itself hydrated if it can't eat.

If you have to think about it, if there is an issue with the fangs then the "mouth part" should still work fine and be able to eat/drink the prey item.
