Does anyone here make their own enclosure lids out of Supa Wood?And if any of you do,what would you ask to make a few for me?

And on another note,who makes backdrops out of styrafoam?And what will the price be on any if I wanted a few of them?

Hi Legion funny you ask. I make my lids out of 6mm supperwood for a good reason. I measure the inside of my enclosure, and the outside and cut 2 squares, one to fit inside, and one to fit the top. I then stick them together using a small amount of prestic and try it onto the enclosure, by this method I am still able to position the inside square to line up just perfectly with the one on top, as glass enclosures are never 100% square. From there I remove the lid, turn it upside down and draw a few guide lines, remove the prestic, clamp the two together and with a circle cutting saw, cut a circle dead center. Then I cut stainless steel 304, 50mesh and place that between the 2, add waterproof glue, clamp the 2 squares together using my guide lines. When everything is set, the led gets painted with resin, and stands to dry and air for 5 days.

How many lids are you taking about?

Well quite a few lids.About 8 very large(about 600x300mm) enclosures and another 8 or so large(+/- 325x225mm) enclosures.But I can take precise measurements for you and PM them to you if it's not too much trouble.
