I'm not a big fan of heat wire. Even though heating mats are made from the same stuff just insulated with "tin foil"
The Fact that one will need more than 3 strands (lines) just to get a decent temp during the night is my problem, the room where the cabinets will be standing is part of an open plan area so it gets cold.
And to have 30 odd shelves with heating wire running through is going to be a dream job.
I had my snakes in the house where the cabinet is in the picture, and i needed to keep the heat over 28 degrees but in winter it dropped lower than 10 degrees on cold mornings.
That was with 2 large heating pads and a couple of meters of heating wire and a basking light on.
