I've used marine silicone for glueing brass hinges to glass but it should be fine for acrylic hinges too.
Where did you get the hinges if i may ask & at what price?

I use a clear "fast set" epoxy - read the info on the packaging. Should say - adheres to materials such as glass and plastic.
If it costs you R60 for just 2 small tubes, then you know you have the right one
think it was a yellow with red tube, will double check.
FYI never EVER buy a product called FORT-TITE it's the biggest load of BS.
