Hi,
I was wanting to buy a thermo- / hygro meter but noticed in the shop that for the same brand the five/six meters next to each other each having a different reading, as much as 15% diff in humidity and 5deg in temp.

Which is a good brand to buy in you experience ?
Neil.

That's seriously worrying and annoying! Maybe we should do a little forum survey and check and record multiple meter readings in same shops wherever we go and then post our brand findings in here......

Saw the same thing this weekend. This made me decide that i want to incorporate one of these

I think the Exo Terra Meters should be quite good as it is a premium brand. But they are pricey

Buy the one you have to callerbrate yourself. I'll post a pic later...

Infact you can buy anyone realistically they will differ by up to 5% realistically 5% is negligible for use in our hobby.

If you we're using it for exotic bird egg production then it would be another story.

I was talking humidity. The temp from thermometer may differ by 1-2 degrees celsius I have about 100 of the temp ones that I got from china at R25 each for my refrigeration.
