So. I'm getting ready to build my own enclosures as Jhb suppliers think that Nelspruit is in Mozambique and charge shitloads or don't ship here.

I know this has been asked and answered, but perhaps someone has found something new.
I need 50mm circular vents that:
a) Won't cost more than the expensive yet poorly constructed LPS enclosures.
b) My H gigas won't chew through like a freshly molted roach.

Any ideas?

And what kind of vents do you have in mind?

Are you going to use wood lids or drill holes into the glass?

Hi ,I bought 6.5cm white plastic vents that I bought from mica ..I siliconed them onto glass although the holes cut into the glass were smaller, the price is about R2-R3 per vent here .

If they were smaller, did you cut off the bit that protrudes into the glass and stick them on?

@Cascade: All glass. I'm having the glass professionally cut (Not by the glass shop, they don't care enough to measure properly) and the holes drilled so I can do the final assembly silicone mission myself.

Nope the vents are flat and have no protruding parts ,I would have uploaded a pics if I could

These are the 2 kinds of vents I use.

These are the ones that clip into the glass, I bought them at Builder warehouse almost 2 years ago.
I also found a company that sources them but that was over a year ago.



Then these are allot bigger, and would have to be stuck to the glass.
