My honest opinion, you can't really call it an investment, not a return investment, more a one sided investment for your spiders housing needs. :P

Exo are stunning tanks, they are awesome and if you have the cash, and you only have a couple of spiders you want to house, then why not?
I just feel that they are over priced, it is expensive just for glass and plastic and swing doors, at the end of the day you are paying for the name brand and not the "cage".

You can approach someone who builds tanks and can get the same size tank built for far less.
For the price of the Exo you want, you could get 8 glass tanks built.
But if I read correctly you don't really like the built tanks.

Have you thought about going replica Exo cages, they a bit cheaper, almost look the same.

My opinion.

I have these on the top shelves.
Probably not exo terras, got them when I took over another members collection.
My opinion, I am swopping or selling them asap.
I really do not like them at all.

I use the containers in happynoodleboy's picture on the second shelf. The clear containers with the purple clips.
Flip them on their side and modify the lids with hinges for aboreals. Theyre cheap but decent.
Love them

as long as you are in the exotic animals hobby you can call it an investment . today you can house a spider tomorow a lizzard , they are good for any animal needs , i have the 60x45x45 and the 45x45x45 and i am very pleased . the bad think is that the glass can't keep good temps like wood or plastic do . by the way you can sell them like -20 form the price you bought them , you can't do the same for a custom terra .
