I rehoused a P regalis the other day and thought I would be clever and just hold the 2 bottles next to each other.
I started off really badly, unscrewed the lid in a complete daze and looked into the bottle and couldn't find the T. It was in the lid to start off but was now on my hand. This part I'm not proud of, I freaked and shook my hand and the T tumbled to the carpet(thankfully in my wisdom I did all of this in my T room).
No harm was done and I managed to collect it in the new bottle. This was for a small 4-5cm T.
Funnily it's the only re-housing I have attempted outside of the bathroom.
My usual method is to remove everything from the bathroom and put a towel on the floor in front of the door. I then kneel in front of the bath and have the new container ready, then open the T container and remove all bark, watter dishes, etc and coax the T out into the bath. They tend to do the sprinting in circles around the bath thing but settle down easily. The pokies love resting in the tile gaps in their typical stretched out pokie pose. Lately I have found that using a fork to lift the smaller T's into their new homes works quite well if you give them time to calm down.

Good morning Geeves

Are you a vet? Nice to meet a fellow brother at Tuks! Thank you for the advice, the bag method worked well. I will definitely contact you. What species do you have?

Hi Sk27

I recently transferred my Suntiger in the bath tub. I though it would be smooth, but she ran quick as lightning and I freaked out. Luckily she stopped right at the top and I moved her into the container with a paint brush

Thank you for your advise
