Look what I found.....

www.corktiles.co.za/online.asp

They are the actual supplier to Builders warehouse for the cork tiles.
I spoke to the lady, they are open to the public and make use of couriers to ship the products.
The only place they supply up here is Builders, and some private people.

I have their price lists, if any one is interested.
Let me know on leondejager0311 at gmail.com.

With the courier cost it will be cheaper to buy @ builders, but I think still usefull info to have...

Funny that the one importer of something we use for tarantulas is in the province that does not allow tarantulas......

Hi Guys

Got a question.
Spoke to Animal Kingdom today, looking for a few things.

Turns out they are not bringing in cork bark in he near future.
Apparently they have something new which is called "spider wood"

Anyone know about this or what it might be?

If I might offer a tip on this. If you don't have a large collection it's expensive to buy a whole pack of the tiles. If you go into your local builders and look around on the rack where they keep the tiles, chances are you'll find that there are a few loose ones in the rack (sometimes a little damaged corner but mostly perfect condition). If you speak nicely to the supervisor in charge they will normally let you have one for FREE as a "sample". They have done this for me on 3 seperate occasions over a few months (1 tile at a time), but obviously don't push your luck.

Hope this helps someone.
