You can build her a larger enclosure and move her in as soon as it is ready, she will grow into her new home, it should or wont stress her out.

I have moved my smaller spiders into larger tanks, about the same size as I'm going to suggest to you below and they have matured in those tanks.

A nice size cage for a medium sized tarantula would be 250w X 250h X 300l. or 220w X 220h X 250l


Depending on how much space you have you can go a bit bigger or longer.

My suggestion would be to put her in a 7.5"(L)X5"(W)X5"(H) enclosure for now, as when she molts she'll most probably be around 2.5" if your size estimate is correct.

Basically, she will be fine in the enclosure as mentioned above until she molts again. (The next 2 molts)

Then she can be moved to an adult enclosure where she can strive and mature.

Hello again everyone! Sorry for such a late update, but just to inform everyone we have read over what knowledge this thread has to offer, we adjusted our T's temperature a bit and now she seems rights at home. In the last two days she's devoured five small crickets! Thanks again for all the information and help it's put our mind at ease and I'm sure made our T's time with us a little comfier.
