Another newbie question, is this enough space?

Yes. Some will say it's to much space. Due to the enclosure being very high relative to the T's size. It could pose a danger if you T decides to climb to the top and falls. So the general consensus would be to add a lot more substrate to prevent the T form falling and getting hurt or dying.

How big is the tank?
What species of spider is housed in the tank?


But as Shaun as advised, just add more substrate then it will be safe for your spider.

Its a N. chromatus and I think a 40lt tank.
