Hey! So i did a search to see if anyone else had asked the question but didnt find anything.
We had a lot of flying ants out tonight after the rain and i was wondering if they can be fed to my T's?
As an occasional change in diet?
Thanks!

Yes they can.

I feed flying ants to my communal of H. incei's when the ants are about, well the roaches tend to eat them first.
As long as you have not sprayed poisons in your yard then it will be fine and nice cheap source of food for your spiders.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have just fed some to my H incei communal and they seem to really enjoy them. I dont spray anything in the garden but not sure about my neighbours. I have not had a problem when feeding to my reptiles so lets hope its ok. If H incei communal still alive tomorrow wil see what my other T's think. Or would it take longer than that to tell if poisoned?

I would not worry to much if you have not sprayed poisons in your yard.
Just something you must be aware of when feeding prey items from one's yard or outside of one's yard.

I don't feed any feeder insects that get out or pick them up off the floor to feed my spiders again as I had to use rat-ex to get rid of rats that were attacking my roaches and making holes in my plastic containers.
And had termites that were making holes in my floor will I was tiling, so had to pour poison down their holes before I finished tiling.

Thanks. Yeah i also dont pick up stray food that has escaped and we dont even use ant poison or rat poison, because of the reptiles. So i use baby powder to keep ants away. You just never know. The commune seems fine this morning so wil try the others later. Have an awsome weekend!
