I am by no means a pro at this but my way seems to be working so gonna stick to it.

I feed mine fruit and vegies and also cereal, i have a water bowl with some rocks inside (all of which i replace every 4 days). i just use egg cartons.

I dont try to maintain any strick temperatures (i leave them in a back room).i will add a heat source in winter.

in january i bout about 200 and since then i have fed about 300 to my T's and i still have bout 200, so it seems to be a winning formula.

My wife actually bought me my firs spider (b.smithi) for my birthday June last year. And since then I’ve been hooked like a crack addict. Lol

She recons if only she knew she would’ve never made the mistake of buying them in the first time... hahaha.

Very true, as long as the winning formula works for you and you have roaches to show for it!!

I think I'm the only one who has my Blaptica dubia roaches on palm peat, yes it makes it a longer process to clean out about a week longer to make sure I have every single roach out of the palm peat.
But I started off with 2500 roaches, my colony is sitting at a new count 5500 (counted one by one).

But my forest roaches on the other hand, don't do so well, I have had them for a year and a bit and they have only started breeding a couple of months ago I maybe have about 200 odd baby roaches.

At the end of the day, advice is what helps us learn and stream line the process.
Make it better or fix issues.
