Hi guys. So I have a bit of a situation. My mature female h.minax escaped last night. I checked on my spiders last night at about 21:00. When i checked again tonight, i saw the lid on her enclosure has moved. To my horror, she is not in her enclosure!!!! I checked every nook and cranny and did not see anything. The door to the rest of our home is closed at night, but open during the day. Also, the door to the outside is only open during daytime. I dont even know where to begin...

Anyone have some advice please, I have 2 kids as well, so dont want them to meet up with the devil reincarnated....she is super aggro...

Hi Corne, you could have already left it too late. It can be far away already, but I would suggest looking upward, where it could have climbed to. Look at curtains, top rails and turn your couches over, look inside the folds and covers. I had a L.parahybana that escaped and was gone for two weeks, found it back miraculously unharmed at a bus stop on the opposite side of the road , when commuters were screaming and throwing stones at it.

Holding thumbs for you, hope you find it sooner rather than later.

Oh happy days!!! I found my Minax female!!!!!!!

She decided to explore the rest of the house. Found her in the living room under the TV Cabinet...We practically went from room to room. Searching and sealing each room as we went along.Got her in the 3rd room from my entertainment area (after going through the kitchen, dining room and then the living room). And just to be certain, I duct taped her enclosure lid until I can get one with a proper latch.
