I have a Brachypelma Albopilosum and think it is a girl but might have a boy? Please look at the picture 'boy or girl' cause I have enlarged the sex organ area. Please look and tell me what you think. I think female but that white dot between the top two book lungs make me think might be male?! So confuzzled! Thanks!

LOL laties, it's far too small to tell. I zoomed in using dobe photoshop and you really cannot take a guess yet. Keep feeding it up, now that it's warm it should eat and molt at least once a month or thereabouts, but Curly's are known to grow a little slow. Be patient, you will be rewarded.

But also, try and expand on your collection (I am assuming this is your only T?), its much more fun when you have three or fourty (lol) slings to attend to. When I reached 26 slings, it was awesome because almost every other day a sling had molted or was doing something interesting. And don't think having 26 odd slings is hard to get to, believe me it just happens! But if that's a bit much try expanding to 4 or 5, you will quickly see what I mean.

hey nice tarantula! In fact it's my favourite kind, inspite of how common they are, I enjoy them the most.
Maybe your substrate is a bit dry?

Leg spacing would indicate female but this is never cast in stone. The only and best way to sex a tarantula is by examining the excuvium / exoskeleton.
