help id? was created by Maxwell
Sold to me as B.smithi, but I suspect it might be B.boehemei :S
I've never owned either as a sling, so i'm not sure.
Can anyone tell from the photos?
thanks..

Hi Halfniak

From what I can see so far the sling does look like a Brachypelma boehmei as I have 10 that looks very familiar to the pictures you posted. A photo after a fresh molt might be very helpful as the colours would be more pronounced.

PS: From who did you buy the unknown T in question?

I think wait for another 1 or 3 molts to give a proper Id, but I'm going to go out on a lime here and say that it looks like a Grammostola sp, It looks like it has a mirror patch on it abdomen.

But wait for molt.

I am with cascade. on first glance it looks like a Grammostola Rosea. But also would suggest to wait for about three to four molts.

Make it 3 for me aswell.

I've never seen a Brachypelma sling with colours like this.It would be best to wait after a couple of molts, and then give it another go. :)

Hi here are some examples to compare to. I had to use the flash as the natural light in the Tarantula room won't cut it. All 3 photo's are from different B.boehmei slings and I am not going to take a pic of all 10 B.boehmei's :) I hope this helps :)
