Egg case HANGING was created by CB1981
This egg case (I assume) is about the size of a tennis ball. The picture is taken in the Benoni area.

Does anyone know what is going to creep out of that nest one day?

I think the common name for this invertebrate is WASPS. Very common in the bosveld. If you did witness any spiders around there my best guess would be the wasps already vacated the "premises".
