Nursery Web Spider. Very common where I live. Either a Euprosthenopsis or Euprosthenops species.

Seems I was on the right track...
The name nursery web spider is especially given to the European species Pisaura mirabilis, but the family also includes fishing spiders and raft spiders... Wiki
