I live in in Limpopo, about half hour's drive from Hoedspruit.

Well unfortunately it was gone by the time I got home, but it was quite a big guy. I've got a three year old Curly Hair that has moulted twice while with me, and she's quite a fair size. This guy was much bigger than she was. If I had to guess I would venture a guess it would be bigger than my hand when not sitting still like that. So close to 16cm legspan?

Then it would be - Harpactira gigas

Mmmmm scaling this pic on a plastered wall I say the T in the pic is no mere than 11cm. IMHO.
