So over the last 2 weeks a lot of guys have been :starwars: over some t's that I got a few weeks ago. So I did a lot of research and battled but eventually found what I was looking for... So if anyone here knows their tarantulas please confirm if I am correct... If you're just looking at the color of the tarantula or the carapace like all others and just taking a guess, rather keep quiet.

So... it's a fight between xenesthis and pamphobeteus... almost every person i spoke to told me it looks like a pamphobeteus but none could confirm which sp. I have done my research and now know where to look to see the difference between pampho's and xenesthis... Cant someone confirm that the following is xenesthis? Need to be sure that what I've read and what I'm seeing on the legs are indeed what I'm looking for...

No names need to be used regarding the matter. just wat to confirm the tarantula's ID. :happy:

I would like to put my money on Xenesthis. If you look at the bristles on the abdomen it seems like it has a 'deurmekaar' look to it. To me that would be one sign of it being Xenesthis immanis.

From brown spider to black spider...

The one I have was black in pre-molt and black post molt. No brown involved. But she is mature, so perhaps her previous owner (Danny) can shed some light on her 'looks' when she was still young?

Maybe the males also look different pre/post molt? You didn't mention the gender of this one..

And then there are the Xenesthis spec 'blau' and Xenesthis sp. "hell" that are doing the rounds.... perhaps just colour forms of immanis?

I doubt if this is a Pamph - Pamph's tend to be dull and hairy. Or maybe that's just mine. And as UC mentioned - the deurmekaar hare. But please don't quote me on this!
