Please help identify this baboon spider. Friend sent nice photo's of this female baboon spider, about 12 cm, found in a hole in the ground near Bonnyvale, arid veld.

@ Dimitri: Awe...I was just about to post my guess of Harpactira Dictator and now no-one will believe that I came to that conclusion on my own.

Thanks guys, confirmed with Ruan and Ian, it's a Harpactira dictator. Now , as a warning to all out there, this guy took it home and when he sent me the photo's, I reprimanded him and he didn't know he could get into trouble. He returned it back to where it was found.

Thanks Dimitri, will add it to the virtual museum. Nice Maggy, I believe you, because my friend and myself guessed Harpactira, but couldn't get the second part.

Does this have a common name?
