I see you got the "bite" from your first one already :) Don't worry, I think we all did. I would just like to point out that perhaps you shouldn't get the H lividum simply because (1) the same as filling a tank filled with peat. (2) very feisty especially for beginners.

I understand you want a nice looking or colourful Tarantula right now, I had the same thing back then but rather go for something like Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens because (1) makes beautiful webs and is more active (2) retreats before getting aggressive (3) great display spiders compared to the Lividum.

Could even consider a Versicolor if not the C. Cyaneopubescens

Welcome to the site.

Yes H. lividum's are "pet holes" but the only time you have to deal with the spider is when you re-home it, other wise he will be he's own spider, unless you bug him though. :starwars: :thumbsup:
Start with a sling and learn as it grows!
